Information for Prospective Students

Criteria for Acceptance:

Christian Women’s Job Corps of Nacogdoches was created to provide job skills and life skills training to empower women to gain and sustain self-sufficiency for themselves and their families. To be accepted as a participant, a woman must:

  • Desire to develop these skills
  • Be 18 years or older to apply for the program
  • Agree to a background check
  • Be drug and alcohol free

Curriculum:

The list below represents the skills that you may acquire when choosing to turn to CWJC

  • Job skills (completing an application, writing a resume, interviewing, and career assessment)
  • Computer technology
  • Parenting
  • Family and Child Care
  • Financial Literacy
  • Personal Discovery
  • Business English
  • Bible Study
  • Presentations each week by community resource people

Description of Programs/Services:

  • Spring session begins in February for 10 weeks
  • Fall session begins in September for 10 weeks
  • Classes are Mondays through Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
